Changes in Routine

This past weekend, my grandparents (Alison's Great Granny and Great Papa) were in town to help us install a new A/C and heater. My 81-year-old grandfather worked for 3 days straight and the timing could not have been better, because a cold front came through on Saturday evening.

Anyway, while we were waiting for the heat, I put Alison in our bedroom because it is the warmest room in our house. She slept in there for 3 nights and... It is amazing how easily she forgot about her old routine! Today, Alison has acted as though she has never slept in her crib in her room. She has let me know how unhappy she is by SCREAMING every time I put her down for a nap! Earlier today, she never fell asleep for her morning nap - once she stopped screaming, she just laid there with her eyes open (in her crib) for an hour. Then, she did manage to go down for her afternoon nap but only stayed asleep for 45 minutes (and usually she can sleep up to 1 & 1/2 hours!)

I guess that's what I get for changing her routine this weekend. I am sure she will be back to her old routine in no time. It is just hard for me to see her so unhappy! I guess you can see in the picture, though, that she is plenty healthy.
