Alison is almost 1 year old and is really beginning to master some "toddler skills." She only has one tooth, but is ready for food in a form other than pureed. She enjoys feeding herself grilled cheese sandwiches, steamed carrots, goldfish (of course), cheerios, chicken, bananas, and pasta.
It is SO funny to watch Alison eat pasta! She is pretty good with the pincer grasp needed to pick up her food, but the texture of pasta perplexes her. She does not like things sticking to her skin and will repeatedly shake her hands until the sticky item is flung off.
We tried spaghetti for the first time on Sunday. It went a little something like this...


That last picture is my favorite! Yes, the spaghetti ended up everywhere: the floor, Alison's lap, my flip-flop.
