Thanksgiving and Beyond

Wow!  So, I thought I would be MUCH better at keeping up with the blog, but chasing after two keeps me busy!  Our days and weeks are filled with lots of activities.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Alison goes to her preschool, Apple Creek.  She absolutely LOVES everything about her preschool - her teachers, her friends, the songs they sing, everything!  When I drop her off, she says, "Adios!  Have fun, Mommy."  The whole office staff comments on how she always has a smile on her face!  I'll say she's at the right preschool...

On Wednesdays, we go to Cottonwood Creek for Bible Study.  I am involved in a ladies' Bible study, but Alison calls it her Bible study, too.  She loves going to the Kid Care area and even carries her Bible to and from church.  The ladies in the baby room LOVE Jacob, because he always smiles and he is such a good baby!  One of the ladies told me that she has never heard him cry.  We are truly blessed to be members of such a great church.

While I teach music lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Matt has his time alone with the two kids.  We have had so many beautiful days this Fall and they have enjoyed MANY hours at the park!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!  We started off in Katy visiting Natalie's family and everyone was together this year.  It is so much fun to spend time with Nathan, Christina and Zeke, as well as Uncle Noel.

Here is the Bryant Family -

After Katy, we headed to Bryan to visit with Matt's family.  We had our second Thanksgiving dinner (plus desserts) and got to spend time with Opa, Gran and Uncle Steven.

Gran took Alison to the park to feed the ducks:

Jacob was a real trooper and did well on the road trip - he is so happy and laid-back!  His Pops calls him "Smiling Jack," because he smiles all the time.  All you have to do is look at him and he smiles.  Talk about medicine for the soul!

Here are a few of his many happy pictures -

As you can see, Jacob is very strong!  On December 6th, he turned 5 months old.  He rolls from back to front and front to back, and he is a scooting machine.  He has wanted to be "On the Go" from about 3 months.  He will probably be crawling any day now!
