Trip to Big Spring and Lots of Pictures

The kids recently took a trip to see Granny and Papa Bryant in Big Spring, Texas.  Alison had a great time helping Granny and Papa open their Christmas presents and Granny and Papa had a great time showing off their Great-grandkids at church on Sunday.  It was a tiring trip, but well worth the effort.

I teach trumpet lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which means Matt has a lot of fun with the kids all to himself.  When the weather is nice, they go for walks or to the park.  But, when it is cold (as it has been so often this Winter - BRR!) there are still fun things to do inside.  I recently found them all in our room under a very elaborate fort.  Even Jacob had his own special spot in his playpen.  Alison was very sweet and got a pillow and blankets for her Daddy.

We have had some days that are just beautiful - Spring days set in January.  On these days, we take advantage and go outdoors.  Jacob loves the big boy swing and Alison loves to push him in the umbrella stroller.  However, I have to keep a very close eye on her - she can go from 0 to 60, and Jacob's stroller becomes a race car, flying through the park.

The final picture are just the kids being themselves - silly and happy.  I cannot thank God enough for these little blessings.  "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." -James 1:17
