Summertime!!!

Hooray for Summer!  I love when our family can spend quality time together, all day, every day.  I love the cookouts, vacations, lazy days, swimming, ice cream and fireworks.  Matt performs with the Allen Philharmonic and the kids and I attended their Memorial Day Concert and Fireworks show.

We are so thankful for our friends, the Pennington's.  They are always so generous in sharing their pool.  Alison has already informed me that she wants to have swim lessons (next year...) and Jacob is already a water baby - loves it.  Check out this happy face -

We headed down to San Antonio for a family vacation.  Natalie attempted to organize organized a family reunion for all of her first cousins, and it was such a blast!  It was nice to get together for an event other than a wedding or a funeral.  There are 18 Gaskill cousins and we always have a great time when we get together.  While we were in San Antonio, we checked out Sea World and the Riverwalk.

I can hardly believe that Jacob is almost a one-year-old and Alison is almost a four-year-old.  I have been very emotional lately, thinking about how blessed I am.  I actually cried at the Shamu show, out of pure JOY.  Even though we don't deserve it, God continues to pour out His blessings on our lives.
