Crawling??

Alison had her 6-month check-up last Tuesday (January 30) and she showed off all her tricks for her doctor: rolling both ways, smiling when you smile at her, talking baby nonsense ("ah" and "ooh"), and transferring an object from one hand to the other.
Here are Alison's 6 month stats -
Weight - 15 pounds, 7 ounces
Length - 26 inches
Also, Alison is SO close to crawling! I have captured her latest moves for you to see. Mostly, she gets on all fours and just rocks back and forth. She is not sure just how to move both her arms and legs to travel FORWARD. However, she can push herself BACKWARDS! It is so funny. Alison, of course, does not find this too humorous and starts to get upset whenever she cannot move in the direction she wants.

This past week, Alison enjoyed the addition of carrots and sweet potatoes to her expanding diet. This week, we are adding squash and bananas. She is such a good eater. At first, the carrots did not stay in her mouth, but Matt and I serve them cold (right out of the fridge) and she eats them up. Luckily, we don't have to warm them. Thank goodness Baby Alison seems to be low maintenance... for now. :)
Yummy - SQUASH:

Alison attended her first band concert last night. Her dad's band gave a great concert, and she did not "peep" during the whole performance. Today, we attended the Texas Tech Symphony Orchestra concert at Allen High School. Once again, Alison was a fantastic audience member. I guess it's in her blood!
